Don't Let Boredom Defeat You!

It's hard enough to get motivated to start an exercise or fitness program. Keeping it up can be even harder, especially if you become bored with the routine you have established.

So change it!

  • If you walk or run, add a sprint at the end, or change your route to include more hilly terrain. It will be a different routine - and it will also be a new challenge for your body.

  • Vary your workout - If your exercise class has become boring, try kickboxing or a Latin dance class. Moving your body in new ways will work your muscles differently, further improving your fitness.

  • Set a specific goal to drive you on - Train for a 10K race, enter a walk-a-thon, or sign up for a tennis tournament. You'll get a new lease on your routine and a feeling of accomplishment, too.
