When buying packaged foods, check the labels for fat content. These foods may be especially high in unwanted fat:
- Potato mixes
- Crackers
- Granolas
- Rice dishes
- Bagel/pita bits and crisps
- Instant breakfast drinks
- Stuffing/breading mixes
- Frozen vegetables in sauce
- Pre-popped and microwaveable popcorn
- Nondairy creamers
- Flavored instant coffee mixes
- Refried beans
- Toaster pastries
